Terms of Service

Welcome to AI Code Skills. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the AI Code Skills platform, website, and related services (“Services”). By using our Services, you agree to these Terms. If you are a school or educator, you agree on behalf of your institution and students under your supervision.

1. Eligibility

• AI Code Skills is designed for use in K–12 education and related programs
• Students under 13 may only use the Services under school or district supervision, in compliance with COPPA
• Educators, schools, or districts are responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and obtaining parental consent where required

2. Accounts & Access

• School/Teacher Accounts: Schools and educators manage student accounts and control access to the platform
• Student Accounts: Students may only access the Services using school-provided credentials
• You are responsible for keeping login credentials secure and ensuring they are not shared outside the classroom environment

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use AI Code Skills only for educational purposes. You must not:

• Use the Services for commercial purposes, advertising, or solicitation
• Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the platform
• Upload or distribute harmful, offensive, or unlawful content
• Share student data outside authorized school channels

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

4. Student Data & Privacy

• Schools retain ownership and control of student data
• We collect and use student data only as described in our Privacy Policy
• We do not sell student data or use it for advertising
• Schools and educators are responsible for obtaining any required parental consent for student participation

5. Intellectual Property

• All content, curriculum, and technology provided by AI Code Skills is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws
• You may not copy, distribute, or modify our materials except for approved classroom use
• Students and teachers retain ownership of the original work (such as code projects) they create on the platform

6. Availability & Updates

• We work to keep AI Code Skills available and reliable but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service
• We may update, modify, or discontinue features from time to time to improve the platform
• We will notify schools of significant changes that impact classroom use

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• AI Code Skills is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind
• We are not responsible for indirect or incidental damages, such as loss of data or interruptions in classroom activities
• Our total liability for any claim related to the Services will not exceed the amount paid by the school for the current subscription period

8. Termination

• Schools may request account and data deletion at any time
• We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated or if required by law
• Upon termination, we will delete student data in accordance with our Privacy Policy

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
